Historic and know-how of LORON et fils

Founded in 1932 in Fleurie en Beaujolais, the estate Louis Loron et fils, is a family company specialized in elaboration of "methode traditionnelle" and more particulary of "cremant de bourgogne" appelation created in 1975.




Any generations for quality


Produced exclusively by the"methode traditionnelle" Loron et fils respond to the rigourous laws governing the production and storeage of cremant de bourgogne to archieve sparkling wines of optimum quality.

The grapes, predominantly Chardonnay are hand harvested from vineyards carrying the" appellation controlée"owned by growers under contract to Loron et fils.

The entire harvest is crushed and vinified at a specially equiped site in Fleurie en Beaujolais.

The grapes are harvested in open-work crates fept free of all oxidation.

Mister Fernand LORON, manager of the company, and his team controls the pneumatics pressing, extracting 100 litres of juices from 150 kg of grapes, for produce the base wines.

At this stage , the wines are submitted to an obligatory tasting controlled by the french wine authority ( I.N.A.O) certifying the wines suitable to be made into Cremant de Bourgogne.

The base wines are then bottled together with special yeast and sugar to provoque the secondary fermentation in the bottle.

The bottles are stocked a minimum of nine months, with the bottles laid on racks.

This is followed by turning ("remuage") which last about one month. Next,"degorgement" is carried out it remove the accumulated sediments in the necks of the bottles.
"Liqueur d'expédition" is them added, its composition determiting wether the resulting wine will be classed as brut or demi sec.

Before the wine can be marketed, a second tasting is mandatory, still under the aegis of the I.N.A.O, otherwise it cannot qualify for the appellation " Cremant de Bourgogne".
A wine for high days and holidays


Whenever or wherever there is someone you whish to compliment or to delight, Cremant de Bourgogne is ready to hand.

It can be served as an aperitif or with food, and is the perfect wine for receptions, weddings and christenings.

It can be drunk on its own, or flavoured with a dash of blackcurrant, peach, or blackberry spirit.
